A Legacy of Recognition

The first Bamboo Pioneers were named at the 8th World Bamboo Congress in Bangkok, held in 2009. Since then, this prestigious award has become a cornerstone of the WBO's desire to acknowledge those who have significantly contributed to the advancement of bamboo in one of the many sectors it influences. The awards continue to be presented exclusively at WBC events.
