The World Bamboo Organization is pleased to announce Imagine Bamboo, a brand new, ambitious public art project produced by Imagineer Productions during the Birmingham (UK) 2022 Festival, and our 2022 World Bamboo Landmark Event. Artists, designers, engineers and communities from across the UK, and internationally, are coming together to explore the potential of bamboo – widely held to be the future sustainable building material for the planet.

The Imagine Bamboo Summit is a family-friendly outdoor festival in Ladywood’s award-winning Sunset Park, a public urban regeneration project. This event has evolved from Bridge, a major outdoor arts project that took place 2018-2021, which brought together people who wouldn’t normally meet.
Join our bamboo weekender, where we create extraordinary structures and shapes, stories and circus performance – glimpse a bamboo bike and try out a giant bamboo swing! Be part of an epic international adventure, bringing together artists, craftspeople, growers and communities from the UK, India, Australia, Malta, Ghana and Bali.
Featuring NoFit State Circus, Atelier One, Ghana Bamboo Bikes, Bamboo U, Rhizome, Cave Urban, digital artist Ling Tan, Arup, Bamboo Bicycle Club and many more.
