As an expert in writing and human resources for international organizations, we seek a dedicated volunteer to help us align our operations with these global standards. This role is essential for ensuring that our activities reflect the Compact's principles and contribute meaningfully to our mission.
Role: Manage the World Bamboo Organization’s (WBO) participation in the UN Global Compact, ensuring that our activities and reports align with the pact’s principles and standards.
Responsibilities:
Principle Implementation:
Oversee the implementation of the UN Global Compact principles in WBO’s operations and projects.
Ensure that WBO’s activities reflect the Compact’s values and commitments.
Reporting:
Prepare and present progress reports on our initiatives and their alignment with the UN Global Compact principles.
Document and communicate the impact of our activities in adherence to the Compact’s guidelines.
Communication:
Collaborate with the communications team to promote our activities related to the Global Compact.
Act as the primary point of contact between WBO and the UN Global Compact.
Training and Awareness:
Facilitate internal training and awareness programs on the Global Compact principles.
Support staff in integrating these principles into their daily practices.
Liaison:
Maintain up-to-date information on the UN Global Compact and ensure that WBO meets the pact’s requirements.
Act as the liaison for any communications or updates with the Global Compact.
Skills Required:
Understanding: Deep understanding of the UN Global Compact and its principles.
Experience: Experience in sustainability project management and reporting.
Communication: Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
Attention to Detail: Ability to handle confidential information with precision.
Language: Proficiency in English is essential for this role.
