We are pleased to announce an international conference on Engineered Bamboo for Sustainable Construction 2022, organized jointly by the University of British Columbia, the World Bamboo Organization and Zhejiang Agricultural and Forestry University.

The conference will be held online, and registration is free.

Registration Deadline: May 15, 2022

The conference will focus on the use of bamboo in construction, with particular emphasis on the rapidly growing use of engineered bamboo. This sustainable material is evolving rapidly, and the conference will look at how it is being incorporated into an increasingly diverse range of uses. On the first day, the conference will look at products and applications, including product examples, the road to commercialization, and research needs. The second day will present the latest research results and innovative ideas for bamboo in construction. The third and final day will look at the environmental rationale for using bamboo, including carbon emissions and the circular economy.
