Champions of Change: Empowering Bamboo for a better Future
Dedicated volunteers steer the World Bamboo Organization. The Ambassadors work independently but are connected as a team, and we collaborate to expand the potential of our actions and our mission.

Jed Long is a co-founder of architecture collective Cave Urban. Utilizing the fluid relationship between art and architecture, Cave Urban explores, creates and tests new structural systems outside the confines of the architectural profession, that emphasize community engagement and the continuation of vernacular tradition.
Jed balances his architectural practice with a passion for research and education. As a Churchill Fellow, recipient of the Marten Bequest and current PhD candidate, Jed is interested in the impermanence of architectural form and the provenance of the materials we choose to build with. These interests have led Jed to Indonesia where he is collaborating on various research projects with Bauhaus Earth, the Bamboo Village Trust and Indobamboo exploring the development of new bio-based building materials, the integration of forestry value chains with urban construction and the development of a transition pathway towards a regenerative built environment.
